Vrinda Yarn is a new company based in California, USA, founded by Nikki, a fiber arts enthusiast, and her husband Jay, an artist with a love of color and fine design. Blending their talents and passions, they’ve created a company whose goal is to provide top quality, unique yarn in colors that inspire our customers to find joy in their making.
Their yarns are crafted with Uruguayan wool of the highest caliber. They carry non-superwash Merino and Corriedale wool yarns, as well as yarns created with Merino wool that has undergone the superwash process in Uruguay. In addition, attention is paid to species-appropriate husbandry and the use of renewable energies during production.
The unique spinning techniques result in yarn that is soft, bouncy, and durable, with a novel effect when dyed. Vrinda Yarn offers an array of colors; everyone will find a yarn that makes their heart sing.
The company name and the names of all their bases are also Sanskrit names inspired by their yoga practice.

The mulberry silk yarn - 3 PLY is available in undyed, solids, multicolor, with sparkle and beads. The recycled sari silk yarn is made from threads that are left over from sari production in India. When making saris, many small, finer threads are left over from the looms, which are of different colours. These are cleaned manually by the hand and then spun using the Takli (drop spindle) or Charkha (spinning wheel).
