Stefan Pinnow

The television presenter Stefan Pinnow came to his profession on an unusual path. In 1989 he took part as a candidate in Jürgen von der Lippes Show "Geld oder Liebe". An ARD producer asked him if he could imagine acting as co-host of a family show. So Stefan Pinnow joined the "Disney Club", which was later replaced by the "Tigerenten- Club". There he also got to know his future wife Judith Halverscheid, who led him through the children's show together. In 1995 Stefan Pinnow changed to the private channel SAT 1, where he hosted the news magazine "17:30 Live". This was followed by an engagement with PRO 7 (taff). In 2009 he returned to WDR with the programmes "daheim + unterwegs", "Hier und heute" and "Wunderschön!" Stefan Pinnow is also a magician. He belongs to the Magic Circle in Berlin. He lives in Berlin with his wife Judith, two daughters and one son.

Stiebner Verlag, Thorsten Duit: Man sprockets
Thorsten Duit Männermaschen

Thorsten Duit has been knitting since childhood and cannot imagine a life without wool. He learned knitting at the age of six from his grandmother, who knitted baby clothes on commission. Whether his first work was then also a few pink wool socks, he has not yet told us.

For him knitting is relaxation. He finds the regular needle movement decelerated and watching a thread turn into a wearable piece of clothing absolutely satisfying.

Frechverlag, Britta Kremke (BC Garne), Jule Kebelmann (Hey Mama Wolf), Rosy Stegmann & Patrick Gruban (Rosy Green Wool), Caro Hosmann (Naturkinder): Sustainability: knitting with GOTS certified wool
Jule Kebelmann

© frechverlag

Jule Kebelmann, the founder of Hey Mama Wolf, studied textile design in Berlin. Since then, she has worked independently as a knitwear designer, dyeing regional wool with herbal colors. Since 2008 she gives knitting and crochet courses. The search for a yarn produced ecologically in Europe led them to the idea of producing one themselves. Jule lives with her husband and two children in the Prignitz..

Rosy Gruban und Patrick

© frechverlag

Patrick Gruban and his wife Rosmary Stegmann are behind Rosy Green Wool. In search of soft sheep's wool she came across mulesing, a painful process in the production of merino wool. That made her realize that she could not possibly continue with such wool. That was in 2012 and meanwhile the idea has become the common vocation with her husband Patrick. The two only use wool from lucky sheep from certified organic animal husbandry. This is spun and dyed to exact designs in small quantities in factories in England and Portugal. 100% independently certified according to GOTS - Bio and Fair.

Caroline Hosemann

Fourfold mother, author, philosopher, no eco-mum and no environmental pope. Caro is just happy to be outside; in the garden, in the forest, on the mountain and would like to share this passion with their children and others, and to pass on a bit of knowledge about nature, but above all the joy of it.

Britta Kremke

© frechverlag

Britta Kremke grew up almost from birth with wool. Her mother once ran a specialty shop for wool and knitwear in Hamburg. She herself was the youngest owner of such a specialty store, which she opened at Lüneburg at the age of just 21. Judge wool quality? No problem for her. Knit? Can she of course. Nevertheless, it took some time before she ventured together with her husband, the advertising specialist Carsten Kremke, in 2010, the starting gun for a wool-online trade. On flattering yarn find quality-conscious hobby knitters and retailers, what your heart beats. The philosophy? It only comes into the assortment, which Britta Kremke herself would like to entangle, from eco-wool and finest merino wool to hand-dyed yarn from fair trade projects.

Sarah Steiner: Service as a success factor - for more customers! Now!
Sarah Steiner

I studied Communication Design at the FH Aachen. I founded my advertising agency during my studies. After about 3 years of successful agency work, I reflected on what I was doing and learned about two things. 1. it's always about three questions: How do we win new clients? How do we keep customers? And what service do our customers expect? 2. I love outstanding service. My goal is to develop concepts and processes that make customers feel understood. I repositioned myself, worked out a consulting offer on the three questions and today work successfully for medium-sized companies across all industries.

In addition to this field of activity, I trained as a New Work Manager (IHK) in 2018. Because: Developing new processes, services and business models from customer requirements also means understanding the organization and the team as a unit and adapting them to the new requirements of the business world.
