The digital world captivates us and determines everyday life for many people. Starting with the social networks, digital games of any content (which can probably also influence behaviour), any kind of communication in the private sphere and increasingly the digitalisation of the working world is a constantly present topic. This means that we are increasingly living in a virtual world.  Consequently, a counter-trend is currently emerging, especially among younger people, which is expressed in the desire for real experiences. This means: I want to create something myself with my hands, design from start to finish and be able to touch and feel the finished product with my hands. This development as an expression of the need to create a balance between the virtual and real world is seen as a trend towards "Do It Yourself" in various areas, which are also expressed on television in a wide variety of series. For example, cooking with an expert / as a competition of amateurs etc, garden design, renovating houses, renovating apartments, baking cakes, "pimping" cars and occasionally "sewing by yourself".
