In the interview "Weaving the threads of life: Handicrafts as a reflection of one's identity and career changes", Sonja and Ulla share their impressive professional careers as technical teachers and technical book authors in the garment industry. The idea for the book "Fertigung Bekleidung" was born out of the desire to preserve tailoring knowledge for posterity and to be able to continue teaching it. Both women had already experienced professional turning points due to personal circumstances. Ulla, for example, reflected on her professional goals after a burnout during a holiday year. What they both have in common, however, is their approach and professional reorientation in order to be able to reconcile family and career/craft passion/profession.
