The event

Double knitting is a slow but fascinating process of making a knitted piece with a pattern on the front and the mirrored pattern on the back. In addition, the colors on the back are reversed. Since each stitch in one color is followed by a stitch in the contrasting color, there is no strange tension in the knitted piece. So it's easier to master than color patterns like Fair-Isle, Jacquard....

In their workshop, Dennis (Dendennis) and Wim (Mr. Knitbear) show how to cast on with 2 colors so that the knitted piece seems to come out of nowhere. Then they show how the double knitting technique works. They also show the throw style and continental knitting.

Advanced knitters who need even more challenges can opt for an extra fancy border. Finally, the two knitters reveal how to cast off beautifully with the two yarn colors you choose.
