About Paula Brüggen
As a trained fashion designer, my professional career took me to Asia early on and had a lasting impact on my aesthetic sensibility and appreciation of Far Eastern cultural influences.
In my work as a designer, both for industry and with my own collection, colors, fabrics, creative design, and the relationship between people and design have always been at the center of my focus.
Today, I work with my "Studio raumKoerper" in color and interior design, developing holistic, health-promoting spaces with individual character.
I was able to combine two Far Eastern design principles that run like a common thread through my everyday professional life. While Wabi Sabi describes an approach to interior design, the Japanese embroidery art of "Boro&Sashiko" stands for aesthetic, textile upcycling and a conscious appreciation of textiles.
Under the name of "RE-MAKE by raumKoerper",
I pass on this approach in workshops.
