My name is Julia Ellmann, I am 42 years old, married, and the mother of two daughters. I live and work in Pulheim. I am a company founder, creative, and responsible. For me, these things go hand in hand—both privately and professionally. I am the co-owner of the fabric store and sewing school “Eine Tüte Buntes” (A Bag of Colors) and stand for modern retail that can do more than just sell. My focus is on high-quality fabrics and materials, honest advice, sustainable consumption, and building a strong, vibrant DIY community. In addition to the brick-and-mortar store, I develop new formats such as workshops, events, social media formats, and my own podcast.
I combine classic craftsmanship with digitalization, storytelling, and community building, and show how specialist retailers can be economically relevant and emotionally effective today.
