About Rasmus Liebscher
Maren studies fashion design and Rasmus studies service design, both at HTW Berlin. Through their joint YouTube channel “Nähen mit Maren” (Sewing with Maren), where they publish lovingly designed tutorials and sewing patterns, they became aware of a problem. The process of converting a paper pattern into a digital file is very laborious, as the pattern has to be photographed, straightened, scaled, and traced. This takes time that should actually be spent on the design.
So they developed PatternScan Pro, an app that automatically digitizes sewing patterns from photos for software such as CLO3D, Illustrator, or Grafis.
Their vision is a tool that effortlessly connects the analog and digital worlds. A tool that makes paper workflows so efficient that true creativity and craftsmanship become more economical. The goal is to relieve designers and support them with technology, not replace them.
