About Julia Zipp
After completing my training in bespoke women’s tailoring, I went on to study Apparel Engineering (Dipl.-Ing.) at Albstadt-Sigmaringen University.
I have been working at burda style since 2015, in a leadership role since 2018, and since 2023 as Head of the Pattern and Instruction Editorial Team. Together with my internal and external colleagues (pattern makers, technical editors, and illustrators), we create all burda style sewing patterns for the burda style magazines, special issues, and individual patterns, as well as all accompanying instruction documents and related digital products.
We all share a passion for sewing (and DIY in a broader sense) and have turned that passion into our profession.
