The event
In keeping with our title "Tailor-made knitting" Content: Why do some knitting patterns fit me well and others not at all - how do I find the right fit when knitting?
Women are not fruit. We are all different and cannot be pigeonholed. Knitting instructions use similar sizing concepts to industrially produced garments. It's no wonder that they don't fit most knitters well.
But we have it in our own hands, with our knitting knowledge and experience, to be able to adapt instructions to our own body shape.
Since 2017, I have been showing women with knitting experience in workshops in needlework shops, with yarn dyers and at knitting retreats how they can determine their body shape and take the important measurements and, on this basis, confidently adapt knitting patterns to suit themselves.
