About Andre Schroeder
Andre Schroeder works as City Manager for his hometown - the copper town of Stolberg. For just over two years he has been actively accompanying the reconstruction process of the city centre after the devastating flood catastrophe in July 2021. After completing a dual course of study in business management and several years working in the marketing department of an automobile supplier, he decided to move into administration as a lateral entrant. His daily work involves creating a lively and well-frequented city centre. He sees the flood as an opportunity because it has triggered off transformation processes that would not have been conceivable without the catastrophe. His attachment to his hometown and the visible changes on-site are what motivate him to take on the many challenges of the coming years.
