"Punch Needle" is a versatile yet very simple embroidery technique that creates unique designs on our quality fabrics. The punch needle is a hollow decorative stitch needle with which the thread is punched through the fabric from above. The punch needle technique ranges from coarse punch needle works with wool yarns to very fine works realized with embroidery yarns. The articles 3528 Monk's Cloth (7 ct.), 3517 Monk's Cloth Fine (13 ct.) and 1198 Floba (18 ct.) are the ideal fabric basis for achieving the most beautiful results when punching with wool. In addition, our high-quality evenweave and linen fabrics can also excellently be used for fine punch needle. Enhancing background effects can be created with our printed fabrics such as Petit Point, Sparkle, Vintage and Splash or metallic yarns like Irisé, Gold or Silver.
