The event
The desire for more sustainability extends across many industries. After the discredit of mulesing and the chemical treatments of wool fibres more and more customers are asking about sustainable woollen yarn. More and more sustainable woollen yarn is available. Some manufacturers are making the production chain increasingly transparent so the customer can almost trace down to the individual sheep under which conditions the woollen yarn was made. However, sustainable yarns do have their price. Are customers prepared to not only pay this price, but also put their "superwash" and co. comfort needs to the back of the list?
Dagmar Fresenius, the founder of the sustainable wool label, mährle, shares her opinion about which dealers sustainable yarn can lead to success for.
The practical check will take place directly on the stage: Ute Hänke, Executive Director of the wool business Wolleken in Hanover, will share her experiences in direct interaction with customers. Her line-up is carefully selected and focuses on yarns from animal-friendly husbandry. Talk Zone visitors can interact directly with Dagmar Fresenius and Ute Hänke to find out whether sustainable yarns can also be the recipe for success for themselves.
